Jerry I would be glad of your comments on my Drupal module for complementary currencies, featuring an offers/wants directory and transactions.

There is a link to a great lecture about narrative and story in this GiftHub post. I told Michael about this as we were driving back to Chicago through the night.

Gerry - It is good to hear from you. I have a general familiarity with your area. I have lived on Grand Ave. near Central, and on Milwaukee Ave. Also, when I worked for an engineering company, I spent some time monitoring train vibrations on the C&NW line south of Mayfair. My connection to the Open Money movement came about as a result of my being a speaker at the Local Currencies of the 21st Century Conference at Bard College in New York in June 2006. I was invited by Chris Linstrom, who had organized the conference, after he had come upon an open letter I had written on the monetary cause of the Iraq War. I was a local progressive political activist in Minnesota prior to that, but the Bard gig opened a lot of doors. The rest, as they say, is history. I do money and economics full-time now, and not only micro-currency. My approach is extremely comprehensive. I can send you attachments of some of my writings if you ever have an interest. If I had a message for the open-money folk (or anyone who works in any particular area) it is that in order to be truly effective in their area of focus they need to get the total picture. Otherwise they will be co-opted despite their good efforts. When it comes to money, this has not been sufficiently understood by virtually everyone, which is why basically we live in a world of wonderful people and unintended consequences. I will leave it at that, since I don't want to run on. Thanks for getting in touch.

Wierd. I can't see the three icons. There are two links though which look promising, one is view friend request, and the other is add Gerry as friend - underneath the comment. They both point to http://openmoney.ning.com/profile/matslats#, which is the same page I was on
