Hello Eric,
This is for you, but it may be of interest to this group as well. I have circulated it to other people such as Michael, Ernie, Art art and herestomwiththeweather...

Complementary currencies for Drupal is now at release candidate 1.
I have written a general description of the architecture for anyone who is interested.
This is intended to give an insight into what the module does, and should be of interest to people developing software for similar purposes

Hi Eric! I realize you didn't go thru me in starting the open money ning site, but I'd like to offer this community's resources to the open money pursuits. Hope you're well.

Another big advance today. You'll remember when we created your site that I promised to invite you to join a network of developers. This is that invitation! Not to replace the fine work that Ning Creators does, but to supplement their Q&A with broader organizational development issues.

http://theningsampler.ning.com
will now house the results of our work together -- 100 sites to date -- corporations, universities, incubators, teenagers, school teachers, non-profits, and social movements. On the Sampler we'll exchange ideas, instruct, model, experiment, test and advise. On the site I've outlined a community building curriculum, fleshing it out as we go. We'll examine alternatives inside Ning and outside Ning with 3rd party vendors. The mantra is "functional and beautiful". The site is private. Each participating organization is a private group (primarily for scoped mailing lists); discussions are open to all within the site. You may create new groups and discussions as you see fit.

Click on http://theningsampler.ning.com/?xgi=iMUCcLb and follow the normal signup procedures. Once inside the site, join your group. If your group is not yet there, let me know or create it yourself. You may sign up as many people from your organization as you wish -- be sure to skype me their name and a brief reason why we should approve, prior to giving them the link above.

Enjoy! Let me know if you are no longer interested in Ning or working with this group.

Hi Eric,

I've explored your network a bit more during this week and I certainly appreciate the resource you have founded here!

I do have some experience with Ning programming. If you would like to talk about enhancing the functionality of your network, please contact me at my Gmail account. There are some relatively minor things you can do that can really enhace your site managment. It would appear you are just using the default Ning code + you have the premium service which removes the ads.

Sincerely,

Joshua Zeidner

Eric, is there a way I can ask EVERYONE in this group if they know a student who would like to do my Google Summer of Code Drupal LETS project. The opportunity is wide open now to be paid $5000 position, but if we don't find a student by Friday all bets are off!

Great to hear from you Eric. I included your schema in my recent comment on groups.Drupal.org. I am now describing the Drupal architecture or API
http://matslats.net/LETS/drupal%20architecture
How well would that express your system? Should anything be added, would you do anything differently? Please comment at the bottom.
Please write to me at @gmail.com. Do you know any students who would be suitable to actually code this? There's $5000 from Google to do so. Also do you think it's worth starting a group here? What exactly would it be about?
