Hi Eric,

I've explored your network a bit more during this week and I certainly appreciate the resource you have founded here!

I do have some experience with Ning programming. If you would like to talk about enhancing the functionality of your network, please contact me at my Gmail account. There are some relatively minor things you can do that can really enhace your site managment. It would appear you are just using the default Ning code + you have the premium service which removes the ads.

Eric, is there a way I can ask EVERYONE in this group if they know a student who would like to do my Google Summer of Code Drupal LETS project. The opportunity is wide open now to be paid $5000 position, but if we don't find a student by Friday all bets are off!

How well would that express your system? Should anything be added, would you do anything differently? Please comment at the bottom.

All the current open money software is fully open source. See http://rubyforge.org/projects/openmoney/ to look at the code!

thanks for the warm welcome, Eric! I did take a look at the OpenMoney platform. There are at least 3 Open Source cc/LETS systems reportedly 'in development'. I did a cursory survey of everything out there- perhaps someone should provide links to all of them? It seems there is a lot of disperse efforts out there. Sepp Hasslberger referred me to the Ripple Project.

Thanks Eric- I was seconds away from submitting my final draft when I saw your response. I've spent so many hours reading about open money I feel fairly confident I represented it alright. Now to see if it gets published!
